Construction Plans:

Electrical plan - A drawing showing all of the outlets, lights, circuits and systems to be used in the house. Shows the location of inside panel, outside service, and any disconnects. Should give a complete picture of everything in the house requiring electricity.

Footing detail plan - A complete, specific drawing of a foundation footing showing everything needed to complete the footings. Typically, the footing detail will specify footing dimensions; rebar size, placement and quantity.

Roof plan - A "bird's-eye view" of the home's roof. A detailed depiction of all hips, valleys and ridges.

Wall section plan - A cross-sectioned diagram of a wall showing all of the materials to be used in constructing the wall. Materials used may include the insulation, plates, studs, and sheathing; as well as the interior and exterior finishes.
